Bad Bunny Honors Late Uncle With Super Bowl Halftime Jersey Tribute

Bad Bunny added a personal tribute to his Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performance. The Puerto Rican superstar took the stage Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara wearing an all-white custom outfit featuring a football-style jersey marked with his last name, “Benito,” and the number 64.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Bad Bunny revealed the number referenced 1964 — the birth year of his late uncle, Tio Cutito, who introduced him to the NFL and was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan.

The Grammy winner said he had always hoped to take his uncle to the Super Bowl, but after his sudden death two years ago, he chose to honor him during the performance.

The halftime show also featured appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, along with celebrity cameos throughout the stadium.
