Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist Sam Smith is spending time in Maine and sharing highlights from visits to several popular local restaurants along the coast.

Smith posted on Instagram about a stop at the Lobster Shack in Ogunquit, where they enjoyed lobster and chowder while taking in the seaside views. The singer later shared photos from Ogunquit’s Perkins Cove, including visits to Barnacle Billy’s and Footbridge Lobster. During those outings, Smith treated themselves to a lobster roll, pie with ice cream, and what appeared to be a root beer or cola float.

The singer also posed for photos with staff members at Barnacle Billy’s and documented additional stops in Kennebunkport through Instagram Stories. While there, Smith dined at Earth at Hidden Pond and The Lost Fire Grill and Bar, praising both restaurants enthusiastically.

“Those donuts are OUTRAGEOUS. BEST F****** DONUT EVER and I loved the mussels,” Smith wrote about their meal at Earth at Hidden Pond.

Smith also raved about The Lost Fire, writing, “One of the best steaks I’ve had in a long long time. Favorite however was the creamed spinach!”

The English singer-songwriter, who turned 34 on Tuesday, has earned five Grammy Awards throughout their career. Smith won Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Stay With Me” at the 57th Grammy Awards in 2015, along with Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album for In the Lonely Hour.

At the 65th Grammy Awards in 2023, Smith earned another Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Unholy,” their hit collaboration with Kim Petras.

Other well-known songs from Smith include “Too Good at Goodbyes,” “I’m Not the Only One,” “Lay Me Down,” “Dancing with a Stranger” with Normani, and “Latch” with Disclosure.

In 2016, Smith also won an Academy Award and Golden Globe for “Writing’s on the Wall,” the theme song for the James Bond film Spectre.
