News Update:
New Hampshire Sees Rise in Flu Deaths This Season
Two children are among the New Hampshire residents who have died from flu-related illnesses so far this season, as infections continue to spread widely across the state.
The Department of Health and Human Services reports flu activity remains at the highest level, classified as “widespread.” Since the season began in October 2025, 35 flu-related deaths have been recorded.
Health officials are urging residents to take precautions, including disinfecting high-touch surfaces, staying home when sick, and getting vaccinated. Alyssa Thompson of Breathe New Hampshire says the flu shot can help reduce illness severity and prevent dangerous complications like pneumonia.
Childcare centers across the state are increasing cleaning efforts, but leaders say keeping sick children home remains one of the best ways to stop the spread.

Good morning! Taking a look at the latest traffic map across southern New Hampshire, things are moving smoothly overall. We’re seeing mostly green conditions on I-93 through Manchester and down toward Nashua, with no major slowdowns showing right now. Route 101 between Manchester and the Seacoast is also looking clear, and traffic around Concord and Bow is flowing well.
Down near the Massachusetts line, routes through Nashua and Merrimack are in good shape, and I-95 along the coast near Portsmouth is moving steadily.
No major backups at this time — it’s a great start to the morning commute.
