The date has been set for the Rotary Club of Bangor 'Festival of Lights Parade', and a back-up date in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

On the Rotary's Facebook Page, organizers said the the parade will take place Saturday December 7th at 4:30 PM, with a rain/snow date of Saturday Decemeber 14th.

Folks watching parade will line up along the side streets and parking areas surrounding Exchange Street, as the parade route has been revised this year.

" The 'official' parade starting point is the intersection of State/Exchange. From there, the route will turn left on State Street and proceed to the intersection of Main/State/Hammond. It then turns left onto Main Street and proceeds up Main Street to the intersection of Main/Water Street and continues to the intersection of Water/Washington Street. It then turns left onto Washington Street. The parade will end at the intersection of Washington/Exchange Street."

It's free to participate in the parade, but you will need to register your group or organization, and to sign a waiver.
