Back in July, while in Atlanta touring with Beyoncé, a dancer and a choreographer had their rental car broken into and sensitive material was stolen.
A suspect has been arrested in the case of Beyoncé‘s stolen unreleased music.
The police report said that two Apple laptops and five thumb drives were in the stolen luggage and they included “unreleased music” and other digital files related to Beyoncé’s tour.
Atlanta Police confirmed in a press release that none of the items had been recovered yet.
The Atlanta Police website says Kelvin Evans was taken into custody last month, on Aug. 26, by the nearby Hapeville Police Department and booked into the Fulton County Jail.
The legal documents said that Kelvin Evans was charged with one felony count of Entering Automobile or Other Motor Vehicle With Intent to Commit Theft or Felony. Evans’ bond is set at $20,000 and a preliminary hearing will be held on Wednesday.
On the day Evans was arrested, Billboard Boxscore reported that the Cowboy Carter Tour grossed $102.3 million and sold 392,000 tickets over eight shows during the month of July, making it the third consecutive month that the tour hit the $100 million threshold.
