Demi Lovato on moving away from rock for her new album

“The rock stuff didn’t work for me. And that’s OK. It was a passion project… But this one is fun and I realised what worked for me was ‘Cool For The Summer’ and these other big pop songs. I was like, ‘Why don’t I just go back to that?’ It matches my mood, it feels authentic to where I’m at right now.”
