Harry Styles wants every one of his fans to experience a watermelon sugar high.
Harry Styles, who has been keeping a low profile this year aside from sporadic solo outings including running the Tokyo Marathon and attending the election of Pope Leo XIV, is embarking on yet another side quest: selling sex toys.
Indeed, the One Direction alum’s personal care brand, Pleasing, announced July 24 it would be expanding their merchandise to include a double-sided vibrator, priced at $68, and a 3-ounce bottle of personal lubricant, coined as The Pleasing Lube, selling for $25.
The 31-year-old himself subtly nodded to the brand’s new venture by resharing a video teaser of the brand’s new materials to his personal Instagram Story July 23, and he appeared in a commercial for the products—set to be released first at a pop-up in New York July 25—that debuted the following day.
In the video, Harry answers a landline telephone before he scribbles a message on a pad and paper and then reads the words aloud, “Please yourself like you mean it.”
Pleasing as a brand was first birthed in 2021, from Harry’s penchant for wearing nail polish. However, the “As It Was” singer teased the direction it would be headed after dropping the original stock of polish, along with lip balms, creams and clothing.
“When people are happy and glowing, they’re radiating,” Harry told Dazed in 2021. “And that’s what I think the products do, it’s about helping you feel beautiful.”
It comes as no surprise that the “What Makes You Beautiful” singer has some expertise on that subject, but he has shown his knowledge of sexual pleasure in his music, too. After all, he cheekily revealed the true meaning behind his charting hit “Watermelon Sugar” during a concert in 2021.
“It’s about, uh, the sweetness of life,” Harry slyly explained ahead of singing the track, before ultimately admitting, “It's also about the female orgasm but that's totally different, it's not really relevant.”
Harry’s proved there’s a fine line of things he can’t achieve.
