Attorney General: Deadly Force Justified in Londonderry Police Shooting

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office says officers were justified in the fatal police shooting of a 23-year-old man following a gun incident at a Planet Fitness in Londonderry last year.

Investigators say Calvin Ly-Bishop, an employee at the gym, fired a shot inside the building in February 2025. No injuries were reported. Co-workers told investigators Ly-Bishop had been acting erratically and making disturbing comments in the days leading up to the incident.

Police later stopped Ly-Bishop near his home, where officials say he exited his vehicle armed with a pistol, refused commands to drop the weapon, and fired a shot. Officers then opened fire after believing he pointed the gun toward them. Authorities say the investigation found no clear motive for Ly-Bishop’s actions.

JetBlue to End Service at Manchester Airport in July

JetBlue will end service at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport this summer, with its final flight scheduled for July 8. The airline says the move is part of cuts to underperforming routes during what it calls a nationwide capacity crisis.

Airport officials say they’ll continue working to bring new airlines and destinations to Manchester. Travelers expressed concern the change could mean higher fares and fewer flight options. JetBlue says affected customers will be offered alternate flights or full refunds.

Manchester School District Votes to Avoid Layoffs

The Manchester School District has voted to avoid staff layoffs by redirecting nearly $8.6 million in bond funds during ongoing budget negotiations. School leaders say the move will help preserve teaching positions ahead of a state layoff deadline.

The district and Mayor Jay Ruais remain divided over the school budget, with future cuts now expected to target non-staffing areas like transportation and athletics. A final budget must be approved by June 30.
