Police Investigate Stabbing at Manchester Gas Station

Manchester police are investigating after a person was stabbed Monday evening at an Alltown gas station on South Willow Street, near Memorial High School. Officers responded around 6 p.m. to reports of an unconscious person and found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. The victim was taken to Elliot Hospital, and CPR was reportedly performed at the scene. A witness said several people arrived in vehicles before the stabbing and quickly fled afterward. Police have not released the victim’s condition, and no arrests have been announced.

Rye Swallow Dispute Heads to Court

A group of Rye residents is heading to court in an effort to allow a colony of barn swallows to return to the Goss Farm barn, where the birds have nested for decades. The Rye Conservation Commission closed the barn earlier this year over health concerns and created alternative nesting sites. A hearing Friday will determine whether the birds can temporarily return to the barn while the legal challenge moves forward.
