Massachusetts Firefighter Faces Child Endangerment, Assault Charges in Londonderry

Londonderry police say a local man who works as a firefighter and paramedic in Massachusetts turned himself in after authorities obtained a warrant for his arrest in connection with injuries suffered by a 3-month-old child.

Adam Cole, 33, turned himself in to Londonderry police on Aug. 24. He was arraigned Tuesday morning and later released, according to police.

Police said the investigation began after the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) notified the department that a 3-month-old child had been taken to a hospital.

Following an investigation into the child's injuries, police said they developed probable cause to seek an arrest warrant for Cole.

Cole is charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of second-degree assault involving a person under the age of 13.

According to Londonderry police, Cole works as a firefighter and paramedic with the Andover, Massachusetts, Fire Department.
