Flu Deaths Rise in New Hampshire

New Hampshire health officials report 42 flu-related deaths so far this season, including two children. Last year, the state recorded a total of 85 flu-related deaths, with one child among them.

The latest state data shows Merrimack County is the only county experiencing very high flu activity. Belknap, Coos, Rockingham, and Sullivan counties are reporting high levels, while the rest of the state is seeing low to moderate flu activity.

Traffic is moving well across most major routes this hour, with no major backups showing on I-93 through Manchester, Bedford, and Hooksett. Travel is also looking smooth on Route 101 between Exeter and Manchester, and Route 3 is steady through Nashua and Merrimack.

Along the Seacoast, I-95 near Portsmouth and into southern Maine is flowing normally, and I-495 around Amesbury and Haverhill is also in good shape.

Overall, it’s a pretty quiet commute right now—just watch for typical slowdowns near city exits and busy intersections.
