Lil Wayne Takes Stage More Than Two Hours Late at BankNH Pavilion, Leaving Many Fans Frustrated

Rapper Lil Wayne arrived more than two hours late for his scheduled performance Friday night at BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, eventually taking the stage shortly before 11 p.m., according to multiple concertgoers who shared their experiences on social media.

Many fans said they left before the rapper appeared, with numerous complaints posted in the popular "Laconia is Really Talking" Facebook group. Those who remained at the venue watched Lil Wayne perform beyond the town's 11 p.m. curfew.

Following the concert, Lil Wayne posted a video on Instagram thanking fans for their energy but made no mention of his late arrival.

"New Hampshire! It's your man-ster. I told you man, that (expletive) was awesome. You can see I don't even have no voice. You all took my voice. You all took everything, man. It was (expletive) awesome," he said in the video.

The Instagram post quickly drew comments from disappointed fans, many criticizing the lengthy delay.

Among those in attendance was Natasha Berry, who brought her younger brother to his first concert.

"I brought my little brother to his first concert. I'm like, 'Lil Wayne, where can you go wrong with Lil Wayne?' Well, this is where you can go wrong," Berry said.

Despite enjoying the performance once it began, Berry said the experience was overshadowed by the late start.

"So he did a show. It was great. It was definitely an experience. Definitely a little disappointed that that's how my brother's first concert went. Would I do it again? Would I see Wayne again? Probably not," she said.

The Gilford performance came just days after Lil Wayne missed a scheduled concert in Bangor, Maine. He later apologized to fans for that cancellation.
